Conformation competitions are used to evaluate breeding stock. Conformation classes held at Lucky Dog will follow the AKC Breed Standards unless stated otherwise.

Conformation classes will be evaluated and taught by a rotating group of instructors. Each of these instructors brings their own unique experiences and opinions to class-just as judges do in the ring.

Each participant should bring their dog and come ready to learn and share with each other. The cost is $5, and although there is no requirement to attend every week, practice makes a difference! Dogs and handlers of all levels of experience are welcome! (Young adults under 18 years old should have a parent attending unless prior approval is obtained.) Dogs are required to be current on Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccinations to come to class. Lucky Dog carries a small but varied line of conformation equipment and can special order.
