August - We have a great fundraiser going on for Marshmallow
The Marshmallow Foundation is our local Adopt a Pet agency that is located here at Lucky Dog Boarding & Training Center and supports the animals that come in as strays and are not claimed. Currently, we have over 20 dogs and almost 40 cats and kittens that are awaiting adoption. We would like to thank some of our dedicated volunteers that have been here this summer helping to take pound animals through classes for more socialization, our dog walkers that come to take their for walks to relieve kennel stress, and the hearty crew that comes to help clean and take on all the little extras of photography, adopt a pet days and office work that goes with the job. We couldn't do it without you!
	The Repair a Pet cans

Right now, we have a great fundraiser going on for Marshmallow. The Repair a Pet cans! These cans are very easy to travel with First Aid kits with practical items for your best friend when he is hurt. They also would make great gifts for anyone that is getting a new puppy or a pet's birthday. All proceeds go to the Marshmallow Foundation for the medical expenses of the “Adopt a Pet”.

Currently, with the high number of kittens we have, we are offering all kittens that are not spayed or neutered for adoption for $50. We have all colors and patterns available right now, as well as some wonderful adult cats!

We have a few items that have been donated that we are unable to use and would be happy to give to someone that can for a monetary donation in turn. These items include a very large aluminum kennel, a dog coat and carrying pack that are well insulated and rain proof, some self waters and feeders, large covered letterboxes, an igloo dog house, and more. Looking for Sponsors for Pets
We would like to highlight a couple of our special cases that could use a sponsor and or a home. Sugar is a beautiful cream colored lab mix that was sent to us by a sister rescue in the twin cities. Sugar originally came from a high kill shelter in Ohio and has had many health problems due to arriving with an overwhelming infection of parasites. She has become so run down that her pancreas often has trouble and she only weighed 30#. With lots of hard work and dedication to a special diet and the addition of probiotics and finally ridding her system of the parasites, she is slowly gaining weight and able to process food. It has been a couple months work to figure out the right diet for her, but she is doing better now and will hopefully continue to reach her ideal weight. Sugar has been at the shelter for over 6 months and her medical expenses have been very high. Any donations for her care and special food and medications would be greatly appreciated.

Glory is a beautiful black and white female shorthair adult cat. She came in to us through the city pound with a portion of her tail missing and suffering from infection. She has been through two surgeries now to correct the tail and is a wonderful sweet little girl who will be looking for a home in the next month after her tail is done healing. All donations may be made directly to our vet, Dr. Lange of Aurochs Vet Service or to the Marshmallow Foundation.
